I thought Kurt Okraku lead administration is not interested in engaging their critics in the media space, I thought the current GFA is focused and are ready to give deaf ears to criticisms that may coming their way, but clearly my thoughts were wrong following recent attacks and response to some individuals
I feel scandalize to read that the GFA has responded to Former Presidential hopeful Nana Yaw Amponsah comments on the leadership compromising the welfare of clubs amid covid-19 downturn
Assuming without admitting that the current FA have not bought any new car, the FA have agreed that they spent ¢700,000 to clear the cars at the port this pandemic period.
This is the GFA that is on record to have told Ranking member of Parliamentary select committee on sports that they inherited ZERO accounts balances,
This is the GFA that prepared an accounts dubbed ‘Legacy Debt’ to justify why football clubs should accept that the Association they all belongs to is broke and that the $500000 stimulus package from FIFA should be used to absorbed operational cost at the FA instead of sharing it to clubs.
Why won’t Nana Yaw Amponsah describe the current EXCO as insensitive when countries like Tanzania are benefiting (funds) from their football association?
Clearly Nana Yaw, is right to criticize the FA in the manner he did.
But what has crippled me, is the quick reply from the FA to Nana Yaw...
It’s been almost three weeks since former Financial committee chairman of the FA questioned the integrity of the entire financial administration of the association, challenging the credibility of the so called ‘Legacy Debt’
Why is the FA quiet about this? Why the selective replies?
Why do the FA wants the public to accept that Nana Yaw’s criticism is unfounded but are silence over Palmer’s Exposè?
Why is the FA not ready to discussed how a whole page got omitted from the financial statements documents?
GFA In 2018, total revenue was GHC26382090.67
In 2019, the revenue dropped by GHC14392953.4
A percentage decrease of approximately 55%
One would’ve thought the current FA will be concern about this and try their best to ensure good cooperate governance but again same old story, lack of transparency and when people who are endowed in finance calls you out, you refused to respond.
GFA respond to Palmer on the financial administration of the association that is more important.
For your information, the cars arrived during the nc era and were going to be auctioned by the port authorities.
