Kumasi Asante kotoko supporters chairman has disclosed Augustine Kwaku Oppong who lost his eyes after receiving four rubber bullet shot from a police officer at Babayara after Asante Kotoko 0-1 loss to Berekum chelsea in Ghana premier league week 3 game, will get an artificial eye.
Oppong who is a commercial driver faced his ordeal after some supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacked the match officials over unfair officiating.
Oppong latet revealed that, he did nothing to warrant the gun shot from the police and said he was only looking for his friends whom he always go stadium with.
Christopher Damenya, speaking to kumasi based fm said
“We are looking forward to planting an artificial eye for Augustine Oppong who lost his left eye during Kotoko game against Brekum Chelsea. He will undergo a surgery and get his eye secured in a good shape. We are taking all the costs of it.
What is so disheartening is that we haven't seen the policeman who caused the damage up till now.”
