GFA President Kurt Okraku has explained that the decision to release Black stars head coach Kwesi Appiah was not his decision as reported
The former Dreams executive chairman insists the decision that meant that Kwesi Appiah will not continue as the head coach of the senior national team was a unanimous decision by the executive council members
Tema Youth president wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer has alleged that the removal of Kwesi was influenced by a personal hate the current GFA president has for him for not calling his players into the national team in the past and made reference to a facebook post that showed Kurt begrudging why two players he manages didnt get a call up.
But Kurt has debunk such allegations and say is a total disrespect to the current exco who took the decision
โIt will be most unfortunate because it could sound like a disrespect to all the twelve members on the Executive Council and other stakeholders who were engaged before that singular decision was taken,โ he told Ghanaweb.
โWe all know that we woefully didnโt perform at the AFCON, we all know the happenings from the Brazil 2014 World cup, we all know all the things that has happened before.
โSo when the council put the motion into vote, it was twelve out of twelve. A big NO!
โIt was not about the president of the FA not wanting somebody,โ Kurt Okraku concluded.
