FIFA fine was avoidable had Kwame Kyei opened his doors for us— Ex-Kotoko Management member

Former management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. George Kennedy says there was no corporation between administration that preceded the current management of the club.

Many have blamed Opoku Nti’s led administration for the preventable FIFA fine of $240,000

But George Kennedy who was instrumental in the signing of Clottey has said the current administration didn’t opened up to be briefed properly hence the fine

“I was shocked to hear Dr. Kwame Kyei's management saying our management left no document on Clottey.”, He told Fox fm

“We left all necessary documents on Clottey in his file at the office before leaving for the current management to take over. I was shocked to hear the current management (Dr. Kwame Kyei led) searched for documents of Clottey's for a whole year. How come they struggled to see a file at the office for a period of one year, he questioned."

"Before our management left office, Mr. Opoku Nti had a meeting with his team and informed us that Kotoko had suffered enough, and so for the sake of the club, nobody should fight back."

"There has always been lack of corporation between outgoing and incoming managements of Kotoko. Our management took the steps to meet Dr. Kyei's management."

"We called Dr. Kwame Kyei to the office and showed him all documents at the club but it may be out of his ignorance or lack of ideas in football administration that led to this unfortunate incident. He should have been alerted by his management members who were already into football administration. Edmund Ackah, who worked with our management was initially part of Dr. Kyei's management but was taken out after a month. There should be corporation between past and present managements of Kotoko."
