COVID-19: You can’t bare the cost if you play football now—GOC President warns GFA

Ghana Olympic committee President Ben Nunoo Mensah has wade into the discussion of restarting Ghana premier league or not amid Coronavirus pandemic 

The GPL has been on suspension since March after Presidential decree to put a hold on all sporting activities in bid to curve the spreed of the deadly virus 

After months of deliberations between GFA, Ghana health service and the government it’s been reported that football will be back sooner rather than later and all matches will be played behind close doors 

This has triggered a lot of diverse opinions and the current personality to speak to the matter is Ben Nunoo Mensah, who says it will be much more expensive to Start the league now 

“The cost in testing every player or athlete for COVID-19  in Ghana is calculated to be around $120 per person. I think is not safe to start football.”- Nunoo Mensah told Silver fm
