COVID-19: ‘Ghana FA has been insensitive to its members’-Phar Rangers President fumes

Former GFA Presidential aspirant, Nana Yaw Amponsah believes GFA has failed to prioritise the welfare of its members amid covid-19 downturn

Coronavirus pandemic has brought a lot of harships on sports and football is no exception, club administrators cant pay salaries of their staffs and players and are despirately in need of funds

The world governing body released a statement of sharing $250 million to its members with Ghana inclusion, this appeared to be a welcoming news for clubs in Ghana but

GFA through its communication department qashed the hopes of club owners as they categorically stated the $500000 covid-19 stimulus package from FIFA is not meant for clubs but for operational cost at the association

Speaking on the matter, the brilliant football administrator expressed dissapointment in how the association has  handle the pandamic

“Our money has arrived and you are not ready to give to your members but you are rather writing to government seeking for help. Let your members feel the money”

“The Ghana FA has been insensitive to its members in this COVID era. They didn’t even supply protective masks for its members but they rather busy renovating the FA building. What happens if their members die after this crisis”? Nana Yaw quizzed

The former FIFA agent appealed to the leadership of the FA to cut off unneccesary spendings and concentrate on its members

“Why should the same building be renovated twice within one year. They should forget about their expensive lifestyle and buying new cars. It is not needed. They should solve the problems facing their members before buying their new cars”. He added.
