It was widely reported that Black stars head coach CK Akonnor has signed 2-year contract with $25000 monthly salary with the Ministry of youth and sports
But source close to Atinka Fm can confirmed that CK Akonnor doesn’t have any contractual agreement with Ministry of youth and sports and Ghana for that matter.
Our investigation shows, CK Akonnor was given a contract by GFA, CK informed the FA that he was studying it with his lawyers,
CK delayed in submitting the contract back to the FA before the unfortunate Covid-19 Outbreak
Though he has managed to send it to the Association, the country’s football governing body has not send the contract to the Ministry of youth and sports for finalization.
Atinka Fm can confirmed that, The contract of CK Akonnor has not gotten to the Ministry hence Ghana doesn’t have a biding contract with its head coach who was unveiled and has already started working since January.
The reason why the GFA has failed to send CK’s contract to the Ministry of youth and sports is the covid-19 downturn, they believe it is appropriate to hold on for now because there is no football activities in the Ghana.
