World football governing body (FIFA) has ordered Asante kotoko to pay $240000 to Esperance sportive de tunis by May 10th, 2020 over unlawful transfer of Emmanuel Clottey in 2015 or face the consequences
Though, the supporters of the club has shown readiness in helping the club pay the debt, the current body to show their concern is the GFA
Executive council member Oduro Sarfo speaking to Asempa fm hinted that the football governing body in Ghana may stretch a helping hand to the Porcupines if they write to them
โI am not speaking with authority, I am only sharing my opinion,โ Oduro sarfo said
โโI think the GFA does not know Kotokoโs financial strength, they have to organize themselves and raise a substantial sum.
โIf they are able to do that and eventually write to the FA for financial assistance, then the FA per the executive council will look at it and if we can help, why not.
Oduro Sarfo, aluded to the fact that the GFA is having its own issues financially, yet they will try to help if the matter gets to extreme
"You know we are having our own financial issues to deal with which weโve requested support from government. But maybe we can do some interventions on their behalf,Its a club to club arrangement, but the federations can go behind and some guarantees could be given.โ
