Due to the covid-19 outbreak, some part of Ghana have been on lockdown for over two weeks now, also, all sporting activities have been suspended indefinately by President Nana Addo Dankwah since March 16.
These directives have brought a lot of discomforts to many homes and business and Football clubs are not exception.
Nana Addo has offered some sort of reliefs and support of various kinds to Ghanaians in these times.
Reports last week said, a meeting took place between The country’s Football governing(GFA) and Ghana league clubs Association (Ghalca) and the government through the ministry of youth sports and culture where clubs welfare was deeply discussed.
It was reported that the sector minister had ask the GFA and GHALCA to formally write their proposal to goverment through the ministry.
Our checks has revealed the following as the proposal GFA and GHALCA sent to the government
1. GHc 1000 each for premier league players (3months)- 3000
2. Division One players GHc 700 (3months)-2100
3.Women Footballers
GHc 500(3months)-1500
4.Technical Team
GHc 1000(3months)- 3000
They suggested Government can give them loan to pay their players and technical team to be repaid later.
