‘I was affected when Ghanaians mocked me that I was not 14years’ -Danlad Ibrahim reveals

Former Ghana U-17 goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has revealed that he was not in his right frame of mind when Ghana played Mali in the U-17 FIFA World Cup in India which he committed that huge howler which saw the Black Starlets exit the competition.

“I remember we were few days away from the match against Mali. I had a call from my senior brother telling me not to visit any social media handle before the game.

“Our phones were with our manager so we could concentrate on the match, but out of curiosity I went for my phone to know the reason why my brother called.”

“I was so sad to see my own countrymen tagging me with the age issues, teasing and making fun of me just because they thought I was more than 17years at that time” – Danlad Ibrahim recounted.

Danlad Ibrahim who is on loan at Berekum Chelsea from kotoko has fought back and establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier league before its suspension due to covid-19 outbreak.
