Dr Kwame Kyei agrees to pay Esperance to avoid relegation

World football governing body has earlier ordered Asante Kotoko to pay a sum of $240000 by May 10th to Esperance and court fees for unlawful registration of Emmanuel Clottey in 2015 or face relegation.

Reports say, the bankroller in a meeting over the weekend agreed to pay remaining of the debt after Esperance used the transfer fee of Kwame Bonsu to offset part of the debt

Emmanuel Clottey 32 who had a running contract with the North Africa Giant joined Asante Kotoko in 2015 without recourse to the consequences.

Esperance reported the issue to FIFA and Clottey was ask to serve a one year ban from all football related activities and pay an amount of $180000 with Asante Kotoko liable to settle the debt if Clottey refuse to pay.

FIFA has asked Asante Kotoko to pay the debt with accumulated interest of 5% per annum on the principal sum.
