Reports early monday say, Asante kotoko players have agreed to 40% pay cut, this was revealed by the general manager of the the club
Last week, there was a video of head coach, maxwell konadu, telling kotoko faithfuls of his involvement in convincing the playing body through some senior players to accept management decision to give up 40% of their salaries amid coronavirus pandemic
A few minutes later, the captain of the club felix Annan spoke to Atinka Fm and debuked such reports, saying they [playing body] have not been contacted by anybody over salary cut by management, although he conceeded if the management approach them, they will sit and find a way around the deciaion, but said, what they will not accept is management impose the decision on them.
Sources close to us indicate,no player of Asante Kotoko has been approached by Maxwell konadu or any management over a possible pay cut
We can confirm that Dr Kwame Kyei led administration wants to force the decision on the players without engaging them in any meeting, in fact they dont want the players to be heard.
Executive board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei, has shown in the past he doesnt regard or have any kind of respect for the playing body of the club after he abused the technical team with all kinds of abusive words following the clubs shock elimination from the FA cup by division one league club Asokwa Depotivo.
