Ben Nti is a dishonest man, and his opinion on kotoko-Clottey-Bonsu- Esperance transfer saga ‘lacks’ intelligience- Report

The former administrative manager of Kotoko, Ben Nti accused Somtymer Otuo Acheampong of being the mastermind behind the current predicaments in Kotoko just as he did during Dr K K Sarpong's era although he had no proof to back his unguarded unsubstantiated allegations on Hello 101.5 FM Power Sports last Saturday.  He later made a shamelessly conditional withdrawal of that loosed allegations.

The discussion took another turn when Ben Nti said on the show that there is a hidden cost in the ongoing saga of which peoples attention have not been drawn to it. When quizzed by the host Samuel Joachim Bokeem to explain he said the amount of $150,000 for the Kwame Bonsu transfer is a receivable for the club but will not be coming to Kotoko anymore. Kotoko again will have to cough out another $180,000 to settle Esperance in addition to the accrued interest of $45,000 and legal costs of $15,000 to FIFA.

Ben Nti concluded that the total cost to Kotoko will be close to $400,000 and not the $240,000 that Kwame Kyei has promised to pay.

He arrived by that figure by summing (150,000 + 180,000 + 45,000 + 15,000) = 390,000

This premature discharge by Ben Nti to cause fear and panic in the Kotoko fraternity can only be as a result of either intellectual dishonesty or intellectual bankruptcy. For him to suggest that the transfer fee of Kwame Bonsu will not be paid to Kotoko is a big fat lie. Ben Nti should know better.

The transfer of Emmanuel Clottey and Kwame Bonsu are two different unrelated transactions of which the payment of one is not dependant on the other.

The transfer fee arising out of Kwame Bonsu is a legitimate revenue of which will eventually be either paid to Kotoko or it will be used to set-off the payment of $225,000 (180,000 + 45,000). Any of the two scenarios is a normal and standard practice in transfer dealings of which if he claims to be knowledgeable about football administration should have known.

Asante Kotoko, Kwame Kyei led administration and Kotoko supporters are currently going through an unfortunate phase and the last thing they need is Ben Nti parading himself as all knowing yet displaying his ignorance to the entire world raising false alarm.

There is nothing like a hidden cost in the transactions with Esperance and Ben Nti should come and apologize to Kotoko supporters for his deliberate misinformation.
