Sports Journalist Frank Appiah Rijcaard of Light Fm has rubbished the National Circles Concil’s press release calling on Executive Board chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr Kwame Kyei to call Light Fm sports crew to order over something they said it’s maligning the Management of the club and insults on some sports journalists in Kumasi and said it’s disrespectful and doesn’t speak well of the club in which he manages.
Speaking to Seth Dadzie on Atinka Fm said
“I find the release from the NCC hollow and laughable
“I was expecting the NCC to outlined what Light fm has done
”It wouldve been easy speaking to the issues
“But if you come out with such vague and void letter it will be difficult,
”But let me get into your question
”Its true that Dr Kwame Kyei owns Light fm but people should understand that Kotoko and Light fm are two separate entities and we are journalists and people shouldnt expect Dr Kwame Kyei to come and tell us what we should or say, we are professionals
”If kotoko and hearts of oak rises, Ghana football rises, so the fact that Dr Kwame Kyei owns light fm doesnt mean we cant criticise the wrongs at Kotoko.
They should do well and differentiate criticism and insults, thats all that i can say”
